Colors of the Mediterranean

There is so much that draws me to the area in France known as the Cote d'Azur, or The French Riviera.

For me its definitely not the yachts, the glamourous beach parties or the 'to be seen' places. It's not Monte Carlo, Nice or Cannes.

For me it's the light, the turquoise and azur sea, the warmth of the water, the colors and architecture, the moments spent watching the sun go down and the moon rise over the mediterranean.

Sitting by the water's edge sipping rosé on a warm evening, listening to the jingle jangle of the small colourful 'pointu' fishing boats, and watching the moon play over the flat still sea.

Its about the incredibly gorgeous villages and small towns, not only along the coast but inland in the hills, medieval and historical villages looking out over the mediterranean and its coastline.

It's the scent of Jasmine in the air in early summer, and the smell of the pine trees as I wander along the endless coastal paths that can take me from Nice to Italy.
